August 2014 Meeting Over the years numerous members commented they would like to participate in roundtable discussions focused on a variety of topics. With this in mind we created "Quality in a Hat". The approach was simple and effective:
Each topic is discussed for 10 minutes. When the timer alarm sounds the topic stops...even if someone is in mid-sentence.
The person drawing the topic has the option to initiate the conversation or open it to the group.
Topic discussion continues for the 10 minutes. Basic meeting facilitation may be required if anyone dominates, talks over others, or strays off-topic.
Feedback from this session was extremely positive and the overall consensus was to do this again at our next meeting.
Thanks to all who participated!
